Area Artists with a Unique Vision “Five from the Valley"

October 10 - November 10 2025

This is a selection of works by local artists of reputation, curated by Curlee Raven Holton, a painter, printmaker, and the founder of Raven Fine Art Editions.  He is the David M. Linda Roth Emeritus Professor of Art: Lafayette College and has also served as the Executive Director of the David C. Driskell Center [University of Maryland] since 2012.  This collection will include diverse mediums that include painting, mixed media works and prints. Participating artists:

Berrisford Boothe
Berrisford Boothe has exhibited as a painter, digital artist, printmaker, photographer, and conceptual installation artist. He has exhibited with the June Kelly Gallery, New York, and the Sande Webster Gallery, Philadelphia. He has also exhibited in the UK, South America, and had a 2016 solo exhibition in Osaka, Japan. His artwork has been placed in numerous public collections including Lafayette College, The Philadelphia Convention Center, The Fitzwilliam Museum,

Chakaia Booker
Is an internationally renowned and widely collected American sculptor known for creating monumental, abstract works from recycled tires and stainless steel for both the gallery and outdoor public spaces.  Booker’s works are contained in more than 40 public collections and have been exhibited across the US, in Europe, Africa, and Asia.  Booker was included in the 2000 Whitney Biennial and received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2005.  Recent public installation highlights include Millennium Park, Chicago (2016-2018), Garment District Alliance Broadway Plazas, New York, NY (2014), and National Museum of Women in the Arts New York Avenue Sculpture Project, Washington DC (2012).

Nestor Gil
Nestor Armando Gil is an American Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1971. Numerous key galleries and museums such as The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts have featured Nestor Armando Gil's work in the past.

Ramon Peralta
Ramon Peralta was born in the beautiful city of Santiago, Dominican Republic. Ramon Peralta has come to be one of the most promising artists of the moment. During his childhood Ramon developed a desire for the arts, becoming one of the most respected artists in his native city of Santiago. He studied drawing and painting at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de Santiago. Peralta came to New York City where he studied drawing at The Art Students League of New York. Always striving for the best Peralta already has participated in more than 24 exhibitions including 11 individual ones.

Adriano Farinella
Adriano Farinella is a contemporary American artist and educator based in Easton, Pennsylvania. He is known for his landscape paintings and for teaching drawing, painting, and plein air techniques, both online and in person. He owns and operates StudioWork in Easton, where he leads workshops that blend technical skill building with intuitive painting practices. His flagship online course, "Sky & Clouds & Land & Air," has reached students worldwide. Farinella earned his BFA in painting and drawing from Kutztown University in 1998.
